Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 12, 2012 12:14 am I am looking to put in an outdoor sink for the BBQ. For the water tap, that can be connected relatively easy. What is typically involved to connect the sink waste to the waste pipes? There is a 'waste' inspection grate in that particular location. Just wanting to get an idea what is involved and how much a plumber would charge to connect the sink waste to the appropriate channels. Has anyone done something similar before? Re: Outdoor sink 2May 12, 2012 4:11 pm I've been thinking about this myself, although I dont have the sewer anyware close, so it would just go to the garden. For connecting to the sewer line, you'd need a water trap and a one way air valve. guessing that it would be in the 200-300 mark to get someone to do it, if you have it dug out and ready. Just check if the inspection grate is not for a floor drain. if it is, it may not actually connect up to the sewer. all of the floor drains at my place just have a pipe that goes down around 300mm and stop.
