Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Apr 09, 2012 6:43 pm Hi, Anyone has any experience or feedback with master's Hafele functionality kitchen? They seem to be very competitive in price. We are interested with their puriy range which is some sort of white 2-pak with hidden door handles. Also they are giving 20 years warranty on their kitchen.. Any feedback or comments would be appreciated. Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 2Apr 16, 2012 11:15 pm In a word... FANTASTIC! I had a look at their range of kitchens not so long ago. I spoke to the manager and discussed the various aspects of their kitchen operation. The kitchens are made in Australia utilising Hafele / Kesseboehmer hardware. Masters has a switched on team of kitchen designers, installers and management personnel. Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 3Apr 17, 2012 8:12 am Thanks renomart. After spending sometime talking to the kitchen designers ourselves and get them to quote our kitchen for us, we are definetely going with them as their purity range quote (some sort of white 2-pak) is just abit more than other flat pack companies melamine quote. They do however charge $160 as a design fee once you're ready to put in the order to get all the plans, 3D drawings in place for order and there's also another fee of $200++ (can't remember the actual cost) for a site check measure. Not needed if you're confident with your measurements. The only downside is their installation which is very pricey as they add on project management fees but not an issue if you're putting the kitchen yourself or source an external installer to do it for you. On another note: Stay away from Good Guys Kitchen. Their quote for a melamine kitchen is 3 times the price of a flat pack but they will dangle a 30% off if you sign up now and just for you another extra 10% off. Even with the 40% off it's still more expensive than the flat packs. Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 4Apr 21, 2012 10:17 pm I also went in this week to look (and purchased today) at my mixer kits as the pricing from them against some of the other known cheaper sources (Renovation D, Osman's Building supplies, etc) couldnt beat the Masters pricing Mrs said why not ask about the Kitchen - I said this place would be the last place I would ask for a quote. Low and behold - 40 mins later at 8:30 on a weds nite, I've been given a quote for a kitchen installed roughly $6k cheaper than my other quotes! This is a custom design kitchen I have not given them the green light as I want to understand more about this warranty (as most are not worth the paper they are written on) but if the details stake up (they do offer lifetime warranty back to Ceaserstone and Hafele for stone and components), I cant see why I would waste my time with these other blokes Note: the bloke told me that once the cabinets are in and you call them, Ceaserstone (or whomever installs for them) have to install the stone in 10 days otherwise I get money off. It is a deal they have with Ceaserstone I'd LOVE to here from someone that has actually gone through them already to see if the install process is as good as the service to date Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 5Jun 04, 2012 2:03 pm Place the order by my purity Hafale functional Masters Kitchen two weeks ago and got news last week that it has arrived. They are delivering the kitchen this Saturday and I'm going to try and assemble and install it myself. I'm just getting the cabinets from Masters while deciding on the benchtop. Will keep this place posted on the progress. So far so good. The ordering process and the customer service is excellent so far. Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 7Jun 12, 2012 3:47 pm Got my kitchen last saturday. Carcases are made in Australia, panels and doors made in china and hardware (hinges and drawer rails) made in germany. No issue for me on where it's made as it's all backed by a 20 years warranty and for the price, can't complain. Have assembled 4 cabines so far. It's easy with all the holes pre drilled and screws all provided. Holes for the drawer rails are missing on the back but it's not a big issue as I can drill that myself. The 4 cabinest that I have assembled are all missing one or two screws. However, when I went to Masters, they gave me spare screws. So again not too big a deal. Just the hassle of going back to Masters for screws. Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 8Jun 23, 2012 11:57 am Our Principal kitchen (we think previously called Hafele Functionality?) installation was finished yesterday and we couldn't be more happy! The quality is great and a friend of ours who was previously a cabinet maker, couldn't believe it was a modular kitchen system. We did experience a few communication hick-ups with the store team, however the product more than makes up for it! We also went the Purity, painted J-pull doors and the Masters quote came in approximately 50% cheaper than local kitchen makers and 30% cheaper than Freedom for equivalent quality. We were originally looking at their Profile flat pack range (off the shelf), however we opted to pay the slight premium for the improved hardware and door range. Just the glass splash back to go in now, which Masters have organised for us- I think they are using Stegbar. Couldn't recommend more highly though! Re: Masters Hafele functionality kitchen 9Jul 03, 2012 1:56 pm Great to hear scriviamo. Yes, Masters somehow changed the name.. Anyway, all the cabinets are assembled without issues. Needed to cut abit out of the cross member running along the front of the cabinet to allow me to fit the sink in as the sink bowl was just too big. Now just waiting for the plasterers to finish their work so that I can put them up. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6631 2 4672 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7392 |
