The upside regarding the three kids is that you'll at least be able to see where the grubby fingers have gone, rather than discovering blobs of glunk a few days after the crime ! Re: White kitchen 22Mar 01, 2008 7:03 pm **Phoenix** Now, now D@n, be nice!!!! sorry miss phoenix d@n's a bad boy sometimes... I like the things you pointed out, it's just I didn't think they needed mentioning since this thread was more about the decor of a white kitchen rather than the architectual elements. And I think you see those in alot of modern homes so it's nothing new. Then your comments of: "The only stuff of colour is the plants (not including the floor)....even the artwork on the wall is part white. I imagine the types who buy this place either have no personality or like to lock themselves away from the world." were not relevant either.....i would say.... Re: White kitchen 28Mar 01, 2008 8:57 pm LOL... well done Cabinfever!!!
Especially the last one...talk about minimalistic!!! Re: White kitchen 31Mar 02, 2008 11:47 am Michelle d@n **Phoenix** Now, now D@n, be nice!!!! sorry miss phoenix d@n's a bad boy sometimes... And I think you see those in alot of modern homes so it's nothing new. d@n....I most of the time don’t see what you say needs mentioning in the forum let alone on a post or a thread. But up until now I haven’t said anything! To this date you have not brought any knowledge or questions to the forum relevant to this forums structure. I find it upsetting that you make negative comments to people’s likes, hopes and dreams of their homes. I hope in the future when you are posting comments about what other people are saying or doing, you consider what you are about say carefully, and be mindful of other peoples feelings. We look forward to your continual participation of the forum, but hope it is in more of a positive influence. We second that. Re: White kitchen 32Mar 02, 2008 3:28 pm Sorry in advance for hijacking this thread but given previous comments I would like to clarify:
sometimes I don't agree with a selection or choice and point out what I think is good/bad about it and maybe offer suggestions. when I start a thread I am usually looking for ppl's feedback and honest opinion as well, not just everyone agreeing with what I am doing. Sometimes I don't like the feedback (coz I have already bought those darn pavers) but since we all like different things someone usually agrees with me and sometimes you actually change my opinion (yep the pavers are going). Not meaning to be difficult but perhaps I have also stepped out of line and for that I apologise. Just feeling a bit confused about the previous comments I guess . Are we not meant to say what we think or is it more HOW we say it. Re: White kitchen 33Mar 02, 2008 3:53 pm The pavers are going???????
Dy….what are you apologising for???? Probably for getting rid of the pavers……. Seriously……you have done nothing wrong! Dy….what are you apologising???? Probably for getting rid of the pavers……. Seriously……you have done nothing wrong! lmao. those pavers ... I am having nightmares about them ... they are chasing me in my dreams. . Hubby is also having nightmares about them .. except in his dreams I am saying 'yes yes yes .... no no no ' . Thanks for the reply .. glad I can offer my opinion ... said gently and helpfully tho' ... Re: White kitchen 35Mar 02, 2008 4:45 pm DeeElle, I don't recall you saying anything offensive, I'm sure we can all have different opinions and feel free to voice them, especially in a thread in which the poster asks for opinions , I guess the trick is in not making negative derogatory comments, using tact and respect when disagreeing and knowing when to say nothing.
I hope I am fine with recieving honest feedback but I do want it said nicely ie "have you considered x,y,z instead?" rather than "what you picked is sh*t" "or is it more HOW we say it." Yes, I think that sums it up. Anyway, back to kitchens: re the Barbie pink kitchen - I have actually seen salmon pink and grey used together in a kitchen and it looked really good. But, no, not Barbie's fairy floss pink. Re: White kitchen 36Mar 02, 2008 4:56 pm Helyn, you are correct.
We have a great little community here at Homeone, and we know that everyone has differing tastes. That is fine, we appreciate that, thats one of the things that makes it fun. BUT we should remember to treat each other with the same respect that we would expect to receive from others. I , the other mods and Jason will not tolerate anyone who steps over the mark.... Dy, you're fine...no need to apologise!!!!! Re: White kitchen 37Mar 02, 2008 5:12 pm ok ok guys. I get the idea. Glad to know I haven't been too mean .
I'll have to try harder . But seriously ... constructive criticism is ok as long as we can offer an alternative solution at the same time. BTW I love white . Re: White kitchen 40Mar 03, 2008 9:11 am Dy
