Pot drawer in the kitchen, how much?

My kitchen only has 2 pot drawers. Others are just cabinets with swinging doors. I want to upgrade these, but need to know how much each upgrade could cost.

Anyone?

Do you want to replace the entire hinged door carcasses with premade drawer boxes or do you want to retro fit drawer runner sets with new drawer fronts?

What size drawers do you want to install; 4 Equal, 3 Equal, 2 Equal, 1 Small 2 Large - width is also a factor as the materials for the boxes and fronts is a quantity.

What type of drawer runners are you considering; 3/4 Extension, Full Extension or Blumotion Tandembox Softclose?

If might be easier to provide some costings if you could supply a dimensioned layout with your wish list attached.

For us, we replacing the doors below the cooktop (900mm) with 3 drawers. The quoted price to do that is $260 ex GST. This is for polyurethane doors.

Well you could always try www.struming.com - I hear they do kitchen consultation and supply!

www.blum.com.au also has a bit of information about their drawer systems and lots of pretty pictures.

But if you are after the technical information about each type of drawer and how they function you might be better off looking through the Haefele catalogue - http://www.hafele.com/au/ - lots of diagrams and specifications.

Your probably looking at a minimum of $200 if you do all the labour your self. And thats with 3 sets of cheapish drawer runners. If you want a cabinet maker to do it, they'd want a days labour (about $350) and materials and runners. And it all really depends on what drawer fronts you want. You could go all out an dget the wiz bang soft close extension drawers runners and pay $300 on just the runners.
