Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 07, 2012 9:51 am Hi All I'm getting ready to configure my WIP ( Walk In Pantry) and am looking for Ideas and Inspiration. If this thread already exists please let me know, I couldn't find one. Our pantry is almost 4m x 1.5m. I want the kettle, toaster & microwave in there. As well as a place to put all the big appliances like electric wok, mix master etc. PHOTOS would be great! Thanks BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 4Mar 07, 2012 1:25 pm Great idea! My WIP is a strange shape to fit into the house, so I can't even say what the measurements are exactly. It's going to be approx 2m x 1.8m. Looking forward to seeing what else gets shared SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 5Mar 07, 2012 1:35 pm I wouldn't change anything in mine. I specifically wanted a walk in pantry, not a butler's pantry. So for me it met my expectations. Everyone who sees it for the first time is always shocked at how big it is. Because it is only a normal sized doorway they tend to think that it is a normal sized corner pantry. So to walk in and see it runs the length of the kitchen they get a bit of a surprise. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 6Mar 07, 2012 3:45 pm A small walk in pantry we did for a customer last year. I love the way the bench and the shelves meet. I'd love a pantry like that! Given me some ideas! BLOG: thehousewebuilt2010.blogspot.com (And are still building!) SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 8Mar 09, 2012 10:15 pm No pics as its still being built but mine is the entry from the garage though to the kitchen and is about 4.2 long and about 2m wide. It's just a walk through pantry (not butlers) and just has a row of shelves down each side plus plenty of room on the end wall to hang the kids school bags, dust buster etc. Jasmin Hickinbotham Belmont - modified Signed: February 2011 Slab should go down before 2012 My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=52310&p=799483#p799483 Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 9Mar 10, 2012 10:54 am Hahaha, there's no way I'd post my pantry as it's so MESSY! Kyton, your pantry is to die for. . . that kind of organised-ness is what I dream of. . . mmmmmm I will show off my spice rack though. . . built it myself. . . 600mm x 1200mm. Love being able to spot a spice from 50 paces! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Note. . . doesn't look quite as neat and tidy now. . . . Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 10Mar 10, 2012 11:39 am Kyton fantastic pantry, looks like you could go shopping in it Jodge that is a fantastic spice rack, I want one just like that for my pantry when it's built, it can fill in a dead wall with something very useful I don't have time to build one, have you seen them in the shops? Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 11Mar 10, 2012 1:22 pm Great looking spice rack Jodge, very neat and organised. The spice rack is the one area of our kitchen that has been taken care of. We are having a spice and sauce rack built in behind our glass splash back, then having the splash back on rollers so you slide the glass to get to all the spices. Should be nice and practical as it will be right alongside the cooktop. Keep all the pics coming everyone (even if the pantry is messy!) I just picked up some bits of timber form Bunnings, sawed them up, knocked them together with some nails and painted it. . . Not nearly as nice, but it's hidden away in the pantry and serves its purpose Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 14Mar 10, 2012 3:28 pm I adored the look of A_M's pantry from her last house. Hope you post some pics when it's done, I'd love to see it Re: SHOW YOUR WALK IN PANTRY! 18Mar 10, 2012 6:02 pm WOW I love A_M's Pantry. I also like that it's not white. In saying that I'll choose white because I'm not brave enough not too. Our Sliding Glass Splashback is going to be a lovely little feature in our kitchen...hopefully! I have not seen one in real life, just some pictures. If it turns out the way I'm imagining it to be I'll be so happy. Will definitely post pics when its done.
