Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 06, 2012 3:06 pm Hi, Ok, here is the situation: Can anyone tell me what is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz quality wise & price wise? I need to make a decision by tomorrow morning as our bench tops need to installed asap, so any feedback would be very much appreciated Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 3Mar 06, 2012 5:49 pm Quartz is what goes into CaesarStone Or are you asking whats the difference between CaesarStone and Quantum Quartz?? Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 5Mar 06, 2012 8:15 pm springtime That's right, I want to know what's the difference between Quantum Quartz & Caesar Stone please? Nothing. Just two companys selling the same thing. They are produce the same way using the same products. The colours are similar. Its like asking whats the difference between the Holden Commodore and the Ford Falcon. As others said, basically the same product, slightly different color range. When we used it, Ceasar Stone was the more expensive product, Quantum Quartz was a "downgrade". Not sure if that has moved around now. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 8Mar 07, 2012 3:07 pm Both Quantum Quartz and Caesarstone have tiered pricing - ie some colours are more expensive than others. It may be the case that you have upgraded from a Caesarstone colour in their basic range to a Quantum Quartz colour in their Deluxe or Designer range. In general, equivalent ranges in QQ are a little cheaper than CS. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 9Mar 07, 2012 3:41 pm MrZebra In general, equivalent ranges in QQ are a little cheaper than CS. They used to be but of late QQ is coming in at the same price. They used to be but of late QQ is coming in at the same price. That's untrue sorry STD Range Quantum Quartz retails at about $559.00 where Caesar Stone STD Range RRP is $871.00 DEL Range Q/Q is about $649.00 (estimate) and Casear Stone DEL is about $989.00 Each range goes higher and higher. Quantum Quartz's STD, DEL and Designer range are all cheaper than Caesar Stone's STD range. These products are pretty much the same, as CEK said earlier like comparing Holdens and Fords. Both offer limited 10 year warranty. Good luck Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 11Mar 07, 2012 4:36 pm Thankyou all, Would you believe I chose the colour " Ice " for the bathrooms & Riverstone for the kitchen thinking they were both from the standard range , only to be told that " Riverstone " is not in the standard range & if I want it ,have to pay $300 extra ....can't win! Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 12Mar 07, 2012 7:32 pm Oh well, if you didn't get the colour you love, you'd only regret not paying the extra $300 down the track. I fell in love with a colour by EssaStone which is more expensive again than Caesarstone - such is life Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 13Mar 07, 2012 9:01 pm springtime Thankyou all, Would you believe I chose the colour " Ice " for the bathrooms & Riverstone for the kitchen thinking they were both from the standard range , only to be told that " Riverstone " is not in the standard range & if I want it ,have to pay $300 extra ....can't win! Riverstone is DEFINITELY a STD colour.. You can check for yourself on the wk.com.au website and click on the Quantum Quartz tab and price by range option. 100,000,000 % Riverstone is a STD colour!! Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 15Mar 08, 2012 3:32 am I questioned the supplier about that, he said that WK have ranges in their standard colours, & that " Ice " or " Polar" as they call it now was the only one that we could have without paying any extra ? but you know what, after your responses, I will give them a call later on today. As you can see from the time I'm posting this , what sleepless nights I'm having , waking up at the crack of dawn worrying about it ( amongst other things! ) ....will keep everyone posted. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 16Mar 08, 2012 9:12 pm Ice is now known as Polar because the name was too close to Ice Snow. Also New Mink (Caesar Stone Mink) became Havana and Silky (Caesar Raw Silk) became Satin. I'd kick up a stink with the builder because Riverstone doesn't cost a cent no more than Polar/Ice. That's not fair to charge you extra when it's not costing them extra. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 17Mar 08, 2012 9:13 pm MrZebra Good pick up Leni - that sucks! Thanks! I work very closely with WK and Caesar Stone so I know my stone. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 18Mar 08, 2012 11:16 pm Leni_82 I work very closely with WK and Caesar Stone so I know my stone. Hi Leni - Is there any difference in construction of bench overhang between both these stone. I heard 300 mm overhang with 20mm thinck stone with ceasor stone is ok but quantum quartz recommends some support underneath overhang. Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 19Mar 09, 2012 4:48 am Thanks Leni, I did kick up a stink so they got me to talk to the supplier directly, he said he has 3 price ranges in the standard colours, he swore black & blue that it wasn't him that was setting these prices but the actual manufacture themselves. He said he was merely passing on the prices. I asked to speak to the person that he dealt with, that person never got back to me. Supplier said it looks like they give trade prices to suppliers, & retail prices are different cos they usually don't deal with customers direct. You know what, I'm just over it now, we've been building since June 2010 because of Westminster Homes, so now we just want our home to finish so that we can get on with our lives. CC101, I'd like to know the answer to the overhang in Quantum Quartz as well cos we're having a 300mm as well. I haven't heard about the support that's needed? Re: What is the difference between Caesar Stone & Quartz? 20Mar 09, 2012 8:41 am What you do for one is what needs to be done to the other. There is no difference in the two stones. They are just as strong, resilient and porous as one another. STD Range all costs the same price.. Unless your builder has a deal with WK (Quantum Quartz) like for instance he buys 100 slabs of Ice/Polar and it's $?? But STD is no tiered in price. STD is standard.. Unless it's different in other states. Im in Vic. Thankyou for your advice. We do have Caesar coming out and hopefully resolve the issue for us. 4 18733 Dear Members I have to decide the Facade column size.
