Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 29, 2012 7:13 am Hi guys, I would like to replace my old kitchen bench tops,(old 50x50mm tiles from the 70`s), with some Tassie Oak floor boards. I would like to put Granite on, bit it is a little bit out of my budget. If I put a 2 pac polyetheline finish on top, will that be able to handle plates with hot food and hot coffee mugs without burning or ringing? I understand that hot pots/pans from my cooktop and oven will burn the surface, or should I be looking at something else to finish the benchtop? Thanks.
