Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 20, 2012 9:27 am I want to buy a new undercupboard rangehoood to replace the AEG one that I have. My rangehood twin motor still works but the price of spare parts to replace broken pieces of plastic clips is a rips off. I have been quoted over $500 to replace cheap plastic components! I'd rather buy a new rangehhod. I want a good rangehood to avoid cooking smells and protect my cupboard from built up grease. Also because my kitchen is a open plan design with meals and family room I want a rangehood that is not noisy. I have been told that I should consider the Schweigan or Whispaire. I have been told by some retailers that the partners of Schweigan had a falling out and parted company. One of the partners stayed with Schweigan and the other one started up Whispaire in direct competition using the same technology. The only main difference between the two is that Whispaire have baffle filters on their rangehoods which are supposed to be better. Can anyone advice? Which is better?
