Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 14, 2012 8:12 pm Its a good problem to have! I should be grateful that I am getting a new kitchen but sorting colours is doing my head in. Everyone tells me absolutely that something different will work! The general picture: Large U shaped kitchen with pantry in end and with breakfast bar peninsula. It is a very light space with north and east facing glass. We have very little children and I'm not keen on gloss (also it is not the style of our house). We are going vinyl wrap. Floors in bamboo colour champagne - a light brown. Benchtops: Quantum Quartz Everest (grey with dark fleck) Wall colour in Kitchen: Taubmans Soho (this is a murky dusty dark green / khaki which we have in current kitchen and love) Cabinets: We were looking at a colour such as Moleskin but it doesn't come in matt. So there is either Porcelain or the designer suggested China White. China white looks very cream against Everest but i've seen it on a wall and it has a green tinge (almost like pale tendril) - if it did look greeny that would work. Cabinet Feature colour - thinking above integrated rangehood of having a dark colour (such as gunship metallic type colour) and this on the back of breakfast bar and side of island / peninsula bar. We dont' want the white there as kids will scuff it too badly. Splashback: perhaps a light silver. appreciate any ideas. Thank you Re: Kitchen Colours - coordinating with Quantum Quartz Evere 2Feb 15, 2012 1:17 pm Everest isn't a grey colour. It's a white base with black, blue, white, transparent flecks. Good luck though Hey. Head to a metal and decide on which profile you will use first. Profiles with larger corrugations can greatly change the appearance of the color in different… 0 3387 I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34273 |
