Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 30, 2012 4:12 pm Hey all; so we have picked an Amber 4 through henley & have our colour appt tomorrow night to pick all our details (i no, short notice!). but im really stuck on colour schemes for our kitchen- the living/dining/kitchen area is all open plan with a lot of windows so lotz of light. we are wanting to go with a jet black caesar stone island bench top & matching bench top at the back of the kitchen (it has like glitter through it) but am stuck on what colour to go with for cupboards (under bench top & over head ones), as well as the splashback colour & walls! we are having timber floors also..... hope anyone can give ideas/photos before tomorrow evening! Our soil tests have been done only just so we are a fair bit behind you! I know our appointments were pushed back a month for colours and tender and we were pretty disappointed. I guess everyone just wants into their home. I had a look on the map and I'm fairly sure the slab I saw going down was on your road on the left hand side if your facing selandra blvd driving away from my street. Have you gone down and had a look? I go up there a bit so it will be interesting to see the build. I feel so lost with ours at the moment. Can't seem to decide on colours and we wanted tiles through the house but not pleased with the cat 1. Oh what to do!!??!!?? Building Henley - Lexington 993 Q2 in Selandra Rise, Clyde North Re: Kitchen colours- henley/cosham 11Apr 03, 2012 6:57 pm Hey, we upgraded a few things from category 1. like our bricks, changed the tiles on the walls in kitchen to a splash back.... in the end its worth paying the extra than picking something u dont like. what is in ur category 1 selections for the house? im not sure if urs is the same as ours...? Process: Land Settlement: 17/02 House colours picked: 20/02 Slab: 25/03 Framework: 28/03 Windows & Roof framing: 01/04 Plumbing: 06/04 Lock Up Stage: 22/04 Paint & Tiles: 14/05 Re: Kitchen colours- henley/cosham 12Apr 03, 2012 8:19 pm I think ours would be all the same as yours when it comes to things like tiles. Our only issue really at the moment is our living area tiles because we didn't want the timber look flooring. The cost of Cat 3 tiles is over 9K and I found almost the same tiles if not nicer at National Tiles for 1,600. Which bricks did you go for? we are struggling to choose those. We loved the Daniel Robertson bricks - until we saw the price. It just means we need to compromise on something else if we want to upgrade to those bricks. All a bit much right now! Building Henley - Lexington 993 Q2 in Selandra Rise, Clyde North Re: Kitchen colours- henley/cosham 13Apr 04, 2012 9:39 am Hey, we didnt like any of the cat 1 bricks so we upgraded to the Ash ones i think in cat 2?? would they let you use those tiles from national tiles? if its saving u that much money it'd be totally worth it! what colours r u looking for with bricks/roof tiles? it was really over wheliming- spec going into cosham, pretty much the first time we went we stood there just staring, no idea lol. we ended up getting our parents to come out & help out lol Process: Land Settlement: 17/02 House colours picked: 20/02 Slab: 25/03 Framework: 28/03 Windows & Roof framing: 01/04 Plumbing: 06/04 Lock Up Stage: 22/04 Paint & Tiles: 14/05 Re: Kitchen colours- henley/cosham 14Apr 08, 2012 10:10 pm We like the Daniel Rob London Blend bricks - they are almost black!! No idea about roof tiles - hadnt even thought about them lol We have our colours appointment on Wednesday so that should be interesting!! I saw your house this weekend! Very exciting! We have the same colour for our walls haha! I think we picked half strength though which I am a little concerned about. I think it might be a bit dark. The quarter is really nice and classic.
