Re: Kitchen colour HELP 5Jan 30, 2012 5:25 pm Depends - what are you having on the floor? What material/colour will the splashback be? Is it a light space with windows? Both the colours you suggest seem quite dark, so it is important to know what other colours will in the space. Re: Kitchen colour HELP 8Jan 30, 2012 8:32 pm This is just my opinion so take it or leave it, but to me it is too dark. I am a huge fan of black, and I love the bench top, but i think the cupboards are too dark. What about white cupboards? or a very whitish grey colour for the cupboards to lighten it all up. Re: Kitchen colour HELP 9Jan 30, 2012 8:43 pm I did a quick mock up: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Obviously, it's very difficult to make a judgement from this very unsophisticated mock-up, but it seems a little flat to me (and personally, I'm not a huge fan of the grey and the black). Kitchen colour HELP 11Feb 01, 2012 10:17 am Some might say BORING, but for me it's white all the way! A lot of the decision will come down to personal taste though so it depends what YOU like. White cupboards with black bench top is high contrast (nothing wrong with that, personal taste remember), personally I prefer something more subtle - or low contrast. If you look on the Houzz website, search for kitchens (you could even be more specific and type in black bench top white cupborard). Just browse, browse, browse and save the photos that you like (if you register you can mark them as favourites). When you've done that, study the photos you've saved and look for the common theme. You're almost there! Everyone can offer you an opinion, but ultimately YOU have to live with it. Best of luck! Hi - thanks for your reply. Yes I think 'Ill go for whitish with very speckly bits rather than pure white something like this. PS was actually 2008 I built the… 2 8684 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 3622 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 8237 |
