My doors are 4 mm less than the carcass! (would have liked 2 mm less)
But then my Miele oven is 6 mm less than the carcass!!! (Don't know what would have been best for the cupboard above the oven).

But have question very much related to this. If you have a double door cabinet how much gap should be on the left, centre and right. Or more to the point if the cabinet is 1055mm wide how wide would you make each door? Reading above I would be saying 1, 1 and 1 meaning door width of 526, or should I go 525 just to be sure. Would then end up with 1.5, 2, 1.5, or 2, 1, 2. Re: Gap between cabinet doors - normal or not? 25May 22, 2016 1:47 pm All gaps should be 2 - 2.5mm no more no less. That would be for a stand alone cabinet with end panels flush the door fronts. If you carried the same margins across a bank of cupboards then the gap between 2 cupboards would be 4mm (2mm on one set and 2mm on the next) this would have to be evened out to 3mm over all cupboards. If I'm building a kitchen the CNC program sets the gaps at 1.5 mm each side and 2 in the middles so the gaps are an even 2-2.5 mm across the set. Re: Gap between cabinet doors - normal or not? 27May 22, 2016 5:41 pm Thanks for the replies. I was able to push the cabinet out to 1056mm and made the doors 525 each so 2 2 2 gaps. What I have is a double base cabinet with end panels either side, then a wine fridge, followed by another 1056 double base cabinet with side panels. Wine fridge is 600mm wide but says leave a 615mm gap. I just made that 613 instead, 2mm less won't be a big issue. Especially when wine fridge makes it clear the main ventilation is over the top plus a a side vent into one of the base cabinets. The gap can be adjusted so it's tighter. You can definitely set up corner cabinets to have the same gap as standard doors. 2 13454 2 7432 Got my stairs designed like this with 250mm Gap marked below.
