If its polyurethane then there is no problem at all matching the colour and doing it later. If its a prefinished lamiwood(laminex) or vinyl wrap then you might be best ordering it at the same time. Colours come and go quickly and one batch can be a slightly different colour to the next. They wanted big $$$ for extra cupboards, so we just went with the basics. After moving in, just found a local kitchen co & got the wall & fridge cupboards done by them.
