Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 21, 2011 12:53 pm We are in the final stages of choosing to buy a kitchen from someone... We've looked at several companies so far; some had good designers, others good products or service, but we haven't found the one that ticks all the boxes. We shortlisted two companies: - Sydney Kitchen - Kitchen Connection Has anyone had recent experiences with these companies (last twelve month or so) or has other recommendations? Thanks Chris Re: Recommended kitchen vendors? 4Nov 21, 2011 7:15 pm Have you thought about going direct to the manufacturer? You will save yourself a fair bit of money! Try a cabinet maker. I am prepared to consider any options. We have our design done, a good idea of the finishes (Blum, Caesarstone, Poly, no handles, etc.) and the appliances are selected. Well for a start you are cutting out the middle man by going straight to the manufacturer. This will save you a good bit of money. You will get far more choice on materials, colours, stone and hardware with a cabinetmaker. Most kitchen companys have standard sized cabinets and small selection of colours and stones. The best bit is that with a cabinet maker you will get personalized service. With my company I do the initial check measure, plans, over see construction and am there on the day of installation. This way there is only one person you are dealing with so far less chance of something going wrong and only one person to blame if it does. With a small company mistakes get fixed straight away becuase they cant afford to loose a customer or the referals it could bring. This doesnt matter with a large company as they have huge advertising budgets and dont care about the one off jobs. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6636 2 4687 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7400 |
