Re: How to remove a kitchen successfully for reinstallation 6Nov 16, 2011 11:55 am Hi Raeaus, it's always better to use an expert, but from my experience, you wont get anyone who will guarantee removing the stone top in one piece. Even the times when we have used a stone mason to remove a set of tos for reuse, they will make us sign a waever which says they take no responsibility. The major concern is ussually the glue used to hold the top down, plus the weak points of the tops ie the corners of the cooktop cut out and sink cut out. If the waterfall ends are mitred and glued, this may also cause a problem. My tip if at all possible, use a local cabinetmaker to remove the kitchen. If you can find one that will agree to do it. If you are worried about the tops, try a company called the Marble Man, they do this type of thing. Hope this helps With 25 years kitchen experience and a passion for what I do, I have joined this forum to offer advice or at least my opinion on all things relevant to kitchens.
