Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 04, 2011 12:14 am Hi, Just wondered if anyone out there has a hobby of drawing on cad etc. I have my own kitchen design that I would like to see on a cad or another interior house design type programme that would enable me to better picture what it would look like. I have had a few kitchen desgin companies come in, but nothing they have done has really grabbed me - so I have a design of my own...but not really 100% sure if it will work, and what exactly it will look like.... I am sure I saw a post on this forum somewhere from someone that offered to draw peoples designs..... Thanks.... Re: CAD DRAWING OF OWN KITCHEN DESIGN 3Nov 16, 2011 12:38 am I've fallen in love with Google Sketchup, it's free and very easy to use. It allows for drawing with millimeter precision, and some of my colleagues have even used it to make technical drawings for engineering projects. I used it to draw my kitchen and generate a cutting list; I haven't gone so far as to apply renders and surfaces yet - but there's plenty of tutorials on the web.
