Anyone ever used them or have their work in their home?
Being so thin, would the stone crack if something heavy (large pot of soup etc.) was dropped onto it do you think?

The installation at the sink is another matter. The "granite" has cracked around the tap. ( 6 weeks after install ) The kitchen Design guy, from Kelmscott, ( who organised all trades etc ) says its not his problem. Even though his company provides a "written 10 year guarantee " The GT guy says its not his problem, and that I should lodge an insurance claim !!! first they both said it was caused by water penetration. Then they said it wasn't. Now they say it is. My question is how could water penetrate when the whole area and installation bonds the granite to the substrate. Surely if any water could find its way in there, that is STILL there problem..... Looking underneath, the sink cut out does not match the sink ( under mount ) I am thinking that they stuffed up when they installed it. There was also areas that were lacking "sealer" Lucky I took photos. The fight has progressed thru consumer affairs, to the building commission and now to the state administrative tribunal. The hearing is this Friday. Re: Granite Transformations 10Mar 13, 2013 11:38 pm I got a quote from GT... man was i completely shocked... it was 2 thousand dollars more expensive than the quote i got for stone...and $3500 more expensive than acryllic... And yeah they dont wrap the underside of the mdf just the top and sides.. I dont know why i didnt but i wanted to email him back and tell him how ridiculous their quote is. Well if they keep getting business good luck to them. Is it possible that the plumber tightened up the tap too much when he installed it?? Being only thin granite this would crack the top. Let us know how you get on??
