Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 13, 2011 11:09 am Has anyone installed a kitchen in a house with a raked ceiling? I have one wall of my kitchen cupboards running along the gableside which is making we question - how do you do a bulkhead that looks OK when it will have to be nearly 3.6m high at the highest point of the ceiling? If anyone has pics or suggestions - I'd be most appreciative Re: Kitchen Bulkheads with raked ceilings? 2Oct 13, 2011 12:04 pm I have fitted a few kitchens with ceilings like this. I always suggest have a builder/carpenter build a plaster board bulkhead and then run the cabinets up to it. Much better finish than if the kitchen company builds it. As you can see, some of these look better from having no bulkhead at all. A google search for raked or sloping kitchen ceilings will turn up more I'm sure. Stewie Thanks mate. Yeah good points!
