Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Oct 11, 2011 6:57 pm Just wondering if anyone has had experience with a Vinyl Wrap & Pyrolytic Ovens A bit concern that the high heat used in Pyrolytic cleaning will undo the glue on the Vinyl Wrap. I bought a westinghouse oven (linked below) and not sure if it's safe to use the cleaning program! http://www.westinghouse.com.au/Product? ... If they have done this then you shouldnt have a problem. If they havent then you could have a problem even with standard cooking temps! We were told by both the store we bought the oven from and our cabinet maker that we should be fine - the pyrolitic ovens have a double cavity (as opposed to the single cavity of a convential oven) and special seals (rather than just rubber) that prevent the heat escape when on the cleaning mode and won't warp the cabinetry. If your concerned, contact the manufacturer and check with them. If your concerned, contact the manufacturer and check with them. But what about standard mode?? Almost every vinyl wrap supplier suggest heat shrouds around the oven. They are purchased with the vinyl doors and fitted before the oven goes in. The biggest problem is when you open the door. A gust of hot air rushes out of the oven and this oven time damages the doors! Do you know if this is a fairly easy item to install? i.e. something you can just nail/glue on? @Mrs Mac, hope it goes well with your cupboards too! i can't see any manufacturer disclaimers on Vinyl Wraps so hopefully this won't be a problem for me either!
