Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Sep 18, 2011 10:28 pm I have been trying to source a supplier for my drawer fronts polyurethane which I want to be the the handleless finger pull type with the Built-in Shadow line. I am after the ones with the full size finger pull groove and thin shadow line panel attached all in white polyurethane. I have done a search and see lots of people have the system but it seems no one says where they bought them from. I would appreciate if anyone can suggest any suppliers. I have lots of drawer and door panels to do. I'm in Sydney but happy to have them freighted. I know there is a bit of variability out there in quality and want something good so would appreciate any recommendations/suggestions. thanks don Re: Handleless Fingerpull Drawer Door Panel Supplier for DIY 2Sep 19, 2011 12:39 am Hi Don. Not exactly sure which handle you are after but if it is the aluminium section that sits across the top of the door or drawer and acts as the finger pull/shadowline then you need to get your doors and drawers first and then have the handles fitted. That particular handle comes as a continuous length extrusion (2500mm) which is cut to length and then fitted into a groove that has been cut into the top of the door or drawer. Have a look at a Laminex or Hettich handle catologue to see the exact profile. There are versions designed for 16 or 18mm doors. It isn't really a DIY fitting. All the doors and drawers need to have a very precise slot cut into them so the extrusion can be pressed into them. All doors and drawers need to be ordered and made minus the height of the handle to make sure they fit. Typically you would provide your cabinet maker with the overall dimensions you are after and let them supply you the finished product. The finger pull and shadow line are all one piece? As chippy said you would need to order these through a cabinetmaker. Yes, that's exactly right, where the finger pull is routered into the top edge of the door and drawer fronts. The finger pull and shadow line are all one piece. Then it needs to be painted in polyurethane. I think it looks great if done properly. I have seem one affordable option but the finger pull was too shallow. I've seen the Aluminium shadow line option which I think looks nice but prefer to "all in one' white shadow line. So there must be dozens of cabinet makers out there that do this type of thing. Can anyone recommend a few that specialise in this sort of thing? And perhaps how much extra it costs per panel? I am happy to measure everything up myself and order online if there is any such suppliers. No one really specialises in doing them. Cost depends on the quality of the polyurethane and number of doors and drawers but could be around $110 per door (400x700) supply only Cutting Edge Kitchens and Cabinet Making http://cuttingedgekitchens.net.au http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cutting-Edge-Kitchens/290484196676 Mobile : 0419 430 575 PH: 9452 4772 Fax :9452 4772 cuttingedgekitchens@outlook.com 920 was enough to get the furniture in.
