Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 16, 2011 11:15 pm Hi renovators! I'm in the process of upgrading my kitchen and would appreciate your experience & advice. My wife is set on a single undermount sink that is large. The dimensions of the exterior are 560mm x 450mm. This fits our 600mm cabinet, which is set against a wall. My concern is that with a 560mmx450mm undermount sink, there will be very little room between the sink and the wall for a mixer, which we want mounted via a hole through the stone benchtop. So my question is, is there a standard size (or rule of thumb) for a mixer installation on a stone benchtop? I imagine if the hole is too close to the sink or wall, this may be problematic. What distance in mm should I be aiming for? Thanks PDC Re: Undermount sink size and Caesarstone 2Aug 17, 2011 11:29 am Also, someone mentioned you can cut the drainer lines on the stone itself. How does this work? Doesn't the stone stain rather easily? Also, I don't imagine the water sitting on the stone for hours will be a good thing. Anyone have experience with the drainer lines cut into stone?
