Re: Our kitchen reno :) 23Aug 09, 2011 11:02 am you must absolutely LOVE it I bet you are kissing that bench top each morning. just gorgeous well done what oven and hob brand did you get? Re: Our kitchen reno :) 24Aug 09, 2011 11:26 am It is a dream kiwi! Just wonderful to work in now! I can be cooking in the kitchen, and my husband can literally walk around the rest of the kitchen without us bumping into one another and fighting for space. Getting rid of the peninsula was one of THE best choices we could have made. We still have a lot to still do....kickboards, lighting and the splashback.....but I am not 100% sure about what colour splashback....I am considering mosaic tiles, and having these lovely shimmery deep red/golds/browns as a centrepiece over the stove, and then more neutral tiles around the rest of the walls. I want to sit with it for a bit to see how the light sits in the room and what would suit with colours etc. Need to also save some money for it lol The oven and stove are Bosch....so is the dishwasher.......they have been awesome! Just fantastic to use!!! Re: Our kitchen reno :) 25Aug 09, 2011 11:35 am The final doors and handles are on.....still need to add the filler pieces and kickboards.....but we have a useable kitchen now Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Still need to put a corner shelf in to the right of the horizontal cabinet.... Re: Our kitchen reno :) 30Aug 09, 2011 1:45 pm if you can put that kitchen together...mosaics will be easy peasy. they did it on the block..and if they could do it, you guys can no probs glad you are happy with it all we have a bosch fridge and dishwasher, but couldnt afford the oven and hob. one day! Re: Our kitchen reno :) 31Aug 09, 2011 6:14 pm Mclaren, hehehe yep, shutters are done We finally have privacy again lol I got them from here: http://www.shutterkits.com.au/ You literally put the measurements in for what you need and they make up the sections in their warehouse. It comes in a box all packed up, and you need to put it together. It is a little tricky initially, but to be honest, now that we have done 1 we could do the whole house confidently.....Totallyyyy recommend them.....it was easy and not too expensive.... They were easy to work with too, which was great! Jennifer - thanks! Yep, I am really in love with the colour! I was worried it was going to make everything too yellow....but it is just perfect! No plans with the floor......we love the sealed slate Re: Our kitchen reno :) 32Aug 09, 2011 9:03 pm Well done - looks great.
