ITS NOT TRUE. With proper preperation you can use just about any paint available. The problem is that laminate has a sheen to it and the paint doesnt stick and wants to crack and fall off. This is where proper prep comes in. The laminate needs to be sanded well to provide a key(something for the paint to stick to) The sanding is best done with a sander but can also be done by hand(will take alot longer). I would use 120-180grit sand paper and the sureface and all edges needs to be sanded well. Once this has been done its just like painting any other surface. Some fabulous advice, thank you everyone.
