What about the rest of the kitchen? An average size kitchen completed can cost you from 4500 to 6000…depending on the size of the kitchen they can go to 10,000 and up. 4600 seems high for just benchtops??? But, I never get into the prices my clients pay for things…that’s their business, so I could be wrong. seems a bit much for me when you consider that the benches will then cost about $6500!!! On the road to building our 1st home Re: bench-tops and cupboards again 24Jan 23, 2008 6:23 pm Again I say, it depends on the size of your kitchen.
For $6500, I could get my whole kitchen re done in a standard laminate. But I only have a small kitchen!!! In fact between you and me….and god knows who else watching this thread. I was GIVEN my new laminate tops from my supplier……thumbs up to Wilsonart/Parbury for supplying me with my new tops for nothing!!!!! It then cost me only $500 to have them installed! Lucky me! Freestyle is Laminex's acrylic thermo formable benchtop product that has set itself up sort of near the Corian market - it isn't a laminate, so your price could be around about fair...for Laminex that is.
