Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 12, 2011 9:45 pm Our kitchen is nearly finished and we've gone for no door handles on the top cupboards, we like it but they've given us the option of adding some now that we've seen it, does it look a bit plain without them or is it the clean look that people are going for, the doors have push openers on them now that do work well, thanks for any help you can give us Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ [ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ /url] Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Need some opinions please.... 5Jul 12, 2011 9:57 pm Dont rush in making your choice. We have tiny tabs on our cupboards as I like the clean look on the overheads. Looks very sleek. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. It looks awesome the way it is. Well done. Re: Need some opinions please.... 13Jul 13, 2011 10:59 am Me too - once you've put your things on the benchtops and in those display shelves you won't need handles to fill in the space. There are so many cupboards it would make a huge difference adding handles. Keep the clean look the way it is! Love the colours by the way! Slick looking kitchen! Re: Need some opinions please.... 14Jul 13, 2011 11:02 am Keep it as it is - love it - when you have your fridge in and things on the benches you won't even notice there are no handles. There are a lot of cupboards so if you did add handles that would be a lot of handles which you would probably hate. Need some opinions please.... 15Jul 13, 2011 11:03 am I think it looks lovely the way it is. Sometimes you need to live with it for a while to then go "oh it is gorgeous isn't it?". We were the same in our kitchen as we chose no overhead cupboards. So it looked "bare" until the splash was installed and we got used to it. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Need some opinions please.... 16Jul 13, 2011 11:58 am Id leave the handles off. It looks nice and modern. We dont have handles on our wall cupboards either. I have two push button ones that drive me up the wall (cheap mechanism), but for the others we had the doors made 10mm longer so there was an overhang we can use. For the high cupboards it works better than using a handle, easier for me to reach Thank you so much for the effort. We will use it to talk with builder. We also had idea of building duplex instead and seeking suggest ions. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=106744 11 13761 Hi VK, I am now retired however I have stood beside over 300 owner builders in the past 18 years that have successfully built their own homes.
