Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jul 11, 2011 5:54 pm Hi, I'm doing the apparently maligned but practical "window behind the cooktop" thing, but I'm using uPVC framing everywhere in the house. My kitchen designer raised concerns that having a cooktop so close to a uPVC frame, even if it's induction, may be a fire hazard and thus not compliant. Does anyone know if this is the case? What's the minimum clearance I should have then? Thanks! My current kitchen plans have 170mm clearance, with 30mm edge to PVC, I should be in the clear.
