Re: kitchen bench color 23Jan 18, 2008 10:59 pm **Phoenix** Dy, where did you find the sample pic of the ice snow??? Found the CS (I remember looking on the back of the sample for the company ) http://www.galvindesign.com.au/home.php You can order A5 samples of the polytech in the mail thru: http://www.polytec.com.au/ Re: kitchen bench color 24Jan 18, 2008 11:17 pm Okay, finally found all the colours online.....

It ties the upper and lower cupboards and the stone together.... Oh well tough, i've made up my mind now, can't change it.... Re: kitchen bench color 25Jan 18, 2008 11:23 pm they are gorgeous .... i wouldnt change them ... love the oyster linea with nova aurora. The touble is that there are too many selections available! Re: kitchen bench color 26Jan 18, 2008 11:33 pm DeeElle they are gorgeous .... i wouldnt change them ... love the oyster linea with nova aurora. Thanks Dy, i'll see if Mish can upload a pic of the Alecon Lace colour....that should tie it all together....it is darker than the oyster linea so should make the nova aurora stand out a bit more.... We were a little worried putting 2 patterns together too...but i didn't want a solid colour for the lower cupboards, and we are not into the dark brown timbers...reminds me of my parent's old kitchen..... I didn't want a dramatic look, i wanted subtle colours which can be accented with other feature coloured accessories and changed when i get sick of them.....(which can be often ) Hopefully it will be light but not too dull... Urrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhh, we struggled a bit with the colours.... We liked the mushroom linea better, but chose against it for the kitchen.... See now i'm second guessing it.... I have to stop scruitinising my selections....What's done is done......I suppose???? Re: kitchen bench color 27Jan 18, 2008 11:39 pm I know EXACTLY what you mean ... we have second guessed a lot recently and ended up back where we started.
Go with your instincts ... the colours you chose are excellent and will look fantastic together; particularly with the wood floors. The pattern works well with the CS (IMHO) Re: kitchen bench color 30Jan 19, 2008 9:37 am **Phoenix** Thanks Dy, i'll see if Mish can upload a pic of the Alecon Lace colour....that should tie it all together....it is darker than the oyster linea so should make the nova aurora stand out a bit more.... “Alecon Lace”…..sorry P, don’t have that in my A4’s in Dulux. What brand of paint is it? Love all the “Linea’s” in Laminex! Not sure, they didn't say...just showed us some samples....and we selected from them... Re: kitchen bench color 33Jan 19, 2008 9:49 am Just looked through Taubmans & Wattyl, I don’t see it there in either.
BUT, that’s why I’m getting new fan decks! Which by the way is going to take longer now, I have to chace a rep for most of them…… Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: kitchen bench color 35Jan 19, 2008 10:26 am They could be Wattly judging by the size and shape of the swatches.
Not sure. Your colour selection looks good….well done! All very complementary of each other. Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: kitchen bench color 36Jan 19, 2008 10:38 am Michelle They could be Wattly judging by the size and shape of the swatches. Not sure. Your colour selection looks good….well done! All very complementary of each other. Thanks Mish, the wall colour we selected is Moon River (P188-N2) and Ashwood (P189-N1) for the internal skirts/arch's and doors. Close as i could get to Hogs Bristle full strength and 1/2 strength.... The feature colour is yet undecided but might be Colonial (P196-N4) and darker again in the theatre room...but we'll do that ourselves.... I like neutral, complimentary colours that can be accessorised easily. I can add in black, white, silver, with the chocolate brown or timber furniture... (which is what i want mainly), and i can possibly add brighter colours like red and aqua quite easily too. Hopefully i will pull it off nicely... if not, oh well.... will need to buy some more new stuff!!!!!!!!!! Re: kitchen bench color 37Feb 06, 2008 3:26 pm Leece What is the best color to have for kitchen benches? We are going to earth colour tones in the house, so browns, beige, white. We are tossing up between a brown speckled or white speckled bench. Depending on the color bench, we would have the opposite color cupboards (ie. brown bench, beige cupboards or white bench, brown cupboards) How long is a piece of string? For practicality a darker colour is better. But I think it would also depend on what the rest of the house looks like. Re: kitchen bench color 38Feb 06, 2008 7:41 pm They are actually Bristol colours.
We have Ashwood and Nomadic Ivory and its come up lovely. Although I hate the quality of the Bristol paints. Hope this helps Re: kitchen bench color 39Feb 06, 2008 7:46 pm Thanks mudtrilogy, tell me what's so bad about the quality of Bristol range... I must admit there was an upgrade available for the paint too, but we didn't take it. At the end of the day, if it looks and IS crap, then i'll repaint myself....in Dulux paint though. (and yes wierdo me loves painting.... ) Re: kitchen bench color 40Feb 06, 2008 7:50 pm Its sort of hard to explain. Its like it doesn't have much vinyl in the paint.
eg. we previously lived in a house with white walls and we had minimal marks on the walls. We now have coffee/mocha colour and have a trillion of marks. We have 3 young kids but we did in the previous house too. Plus while the coverage in terms of colour is ok it doesn't feel like there is enough paint when you touch it. It doesn't really bother us as we will repaint with Haymes soon. I'm going to keep the colours but just hopefully get a better finish. I've been told from people in the trade that Bristol is not great but in the end its not hard to re-paint a wall. Hi - thanks for your reply.
