Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jun 05, 2011 8:58 am Hi,
we are currently renovating our Blackwood timber kitchen, we've replaced the benchtops, polished the floor boards etc but we can not decide on colours to match for our splashback and paint. Can anyone give me some ideas? Thanks Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 2Jun 05, 2011 9:06 am Welcome to the forum, do you have any pics, we looove pics! They would also help with colour advice. Good luck. Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 3Jun 05, 2011 9:10 am Hi, yes I do but I can't figure out how to add them Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 7Jun 05, 2011 9:58 am Are you getting a glass splash or going with tiles? I would keep it plain maybe a subdued, light grey colour to tie in with your floors and not compete with the wood. Glass tiles would also look great. Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 8Jun 05, 2011 10:21 am We will most probably be going with tiles, my dad suggested getting 600 x 600 tiles but I'm not too sure Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splashback 9Jun 05, 2011 11:06 am I think 600's would be too big in that area and to be honest haven't heard of anyone using that size for a splashback. I have seen 600x300 and look good but in your case would stick with a smaller tile. Glass mosaics are very nice. Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 10Jun 07, 2011 3:58 pm I must say I agree with you. A friend of his is also renovating atm and used that size tile. He was amazed at how good it looked and has been trying to talk me into it ever since! Glass mosaics are out though... My husband won't agree to anything 'pretty' so I really don't have a clue what to choose! We both agree that we don't want white but that's about as far as we've gotten Re: Help! I can't decide on colours for my walls and splash 12Jun 25, 2011 11:05 am It's a tough one, because white, or antique white would probably be the simplest option, or grey, as Mango suggested. Maybe even a slightly golden yellow, to bring extra warmth into the space? I always go to http://oldworldtiles.com.au for inspiration, they have plenty of 'solid' colours as well as patterns. Good luck! Make sure you post pics of the finished product, dying to see what you choose! I like pigs. Cats look down on us, dogs look up to us. Pigs treat us as equals.
