Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Aug 01, 2011 9:47 am Hi guys I've been doing a bit of searching on the internet to see if what the salesperson told me was true with no luck. Basically I want to replace the cooktop I have in my kitchen from the tennants that used to live there as it's in bad shape and want a new one when I move in in a few months. I currently have this sized cooktop in the kitchen: Total product height (mm) 58 Total product width (mm) 600 Total product depth (mm) 535 Cut out width (mm) 570 Cut out depth (mm) 490 And the one I want to replace it with has these dimensions Total product height (mm) 46 Total product width (mm) 610 Total product depth (mm) 515 Cut out width (mm) 560 Cut out depth (mm) 490 Basically the guy told me that as the current cutout is 10mm bigger in the width that I won't be able to fasten it to the benchtop. Is this right? Any advice is appreciated! Cheers Re: Cooktop cutout size? 2Aug 01, 2011 10:54 am If you (or whoever is installing it) are a bit handy you should be able to fix in some sort of timber filler or packing where the cooktop clamps grab onto the benchtop. It will only need to be a 5mm strip either side which shouldn't be too hard to create. Cheers, Earl My daughter and son in law are about to start building, they are having a 600mm induction cook top and 900mm oven. It's personal preferance 5 13171 All sorted guys.
