Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 May 16, 2011 6:28 pm Have a 1500x200mm zenolite panel that I'm trying to stick behind the kitchen sink to the painted gyprock. It has 6mm clearance each end and 3mm top/bot as per the instructions. Back of panel has 12x1.6mm double sided tape and 6mm beads of a silicon adhesive (Selly's liquid nails), also as per instructions. The ends and one spot in the middle are sticking fine, but large chunks of the rest just keep lifting and flexing a couple of mm, I just can't get it to bond. What to do? leave it and hope it sticks later? (only 30 min at this stage). Re: Help! Zenilite SB won't stick down! 2May 16, 2011 7:31 pm Acrylic can be quite elastic and try very hard to find it's own equilibrium. Does the liquid nails appear to be sticking to the acrylic but just stretching? If so I would recommend that it all just be pressed up against the wall as much as possible so that when the silicon goes off it will be holding he splashback in the desired position. Cheers, Earl Re: Help! Zenilite SB won't stick down! 3May 16, 2011 9:27 pm Strumer Acrylic can be quite elastic and try very hard to find it's own equilibrium.
