Can you let me know how much space you have between your wall bench (wall oven, hotplates etc) and island bench? And if you have your dining table in front of your island bench, what is the distance between the both...
thanks....

Re: cm between island bench and wall bench 2May 15, 2011 7:37 pm At our last house we had 120cm between the two in our galley style kitchen. Our dining table is about 1.2 m away from our bench in this house Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Re: cm between island bench and wall bench 3May 15, 2011 7:37 pm Distance between wall bench and island is 130cm Distance between island and dining table is 90cm Re: cm between island bench and wall bench 5May 15, 2011 7:50 pm In our last kitchen I didn't like it because I found it difficult for more than one person to be in the kitchen at a time. In this kitchen (U shaped) I've had 4 of us in there working at a time with no problem. The gap around the table is fine. I wouldnt want any less than 90cm between the dining table and island bench. However 130cm between the wall bench and island almost seems too much, but I dont love the open space cm between island bench and wall bench 8May 15, 2011 9:06 pm Think from memory between island and wall bench is 1500mm then from breakfast bar to the back of the lounge would be at least that again (could be closer to 1800mm) Some things are worth waiting for. Re: cm between island bench and wall bench 9May 15, 2011 10:51 pm only 90cm between island and wall bench, but they don't overlap very much. I would like more but we get by with what we have and wouldn't want the space to be taken away from anywhere else in the house. our dining table is way over the other side away from bench.
