we are building a new house with island bench with sink, cooktop etc behind....any brand/colour ideas for laminate white cupboards with a black marbly/fleck, no gloss benchtop....going classic style...any splashback ideas?? thanks Re: Kitchen Ideas, off white laminate cupboards, black bench 2Apr 22, 2011 10:44 pm Hi, I wanted white cupboards and a black marbly bench top in our new house and as we were doing up pur current home to sell did it here first (only cheaper products used). I LOVE the look but hate keeping it clean. I am for ever wiping and polishing it so you cant see the water marks etc on it and have now decided that in our new house we will go with a white marbly bench top. Sorry not any help, but before you decide see if you can get a big enough sample to take home and test out. Lol We WILL have gloss tops though, caesarstone Zulu...but I was given a great tip on how to keeps them glossy! Microfiber cloth and windex is all you need! This was from someone whose house looks so good it could be a display home! We also have the glass splash back, whit on natural glass, so it's greeny tinged...sorry I dont ave photos as yet as it's not completed quite yet will post on the "show us your kitchen" thread when it's done Good luckl Re: Kitchen Ideas, off white laminate cupboards, black bench 4Apr 26, 2011 2:32 pm pamlstano ol' mate pamlstano is a spammer from mumbai so we (I) had to let them go Ours was delayed in completing because some cretins broke in and stole the glazed overhead doors and then flooded the house. But as soon as it has been fixed up and completed I'll post a photo. Any that I have so far do not have the splashback or the protective cover off the caesarstone tops. I have to say, I am impatient for it to be completed!!! Re: Kitchen Ideas, off white laminate cupboards, black bench 5May 05, 2011 7:39 pm hi I too am trying to choose a similar scheme, but going with pure white cupboards.Have heard from friends and others not to get black diamondgloss as so hard to keep looking clean, but am finding it hard to find a nice matt finish black in the laminex range.I did see 'oiled soapstone' wilsonart benchtop in matt http://samples.wilsonart.com/p-529-oile ... 82-38.aspx on display and loved it but I am unsure, especially as one of my teenage children keeps urging me to go with the ebony marble diamondgloss. http://laminex.com.au/products.php#/ben ... ony_marble so anyway would love to know what you have chosen... Re: Kitchen Ideas, off white laminate cupboards, black bench 6May 05, 2011 8:09 pm What about parchment for the off white cupboards Thankyou for your advice.
