but a baumatic cook top. as it didnt have any knobs to have to clean around. I got the westinghouse as it is slightly bigger inside and was cheap. have used it for 3 weeks. VERY basic. does the job though...although I think rapid heat is better than fan bake. I have to remember to press the mode (ie what you want..timer, clock, oven on) button each time you want to start the oven..sometimes I forget and as the light inside oven is always on, I think it is on! I turn it on and off at the wall, so when it is on at the wall....and the light is on inside the oven, and I have turned the dials, I think it has started heating..but it hasnt. havent used the grill did take out those pull out trays, as they are too close together and cant fit my 2 large roasting dishes in with them in, so they are in a drawer. with them out I could probably fit 2 roasters and a cookie tray in if I just had one more rack. got a convection mircrowave though (smeg) ..so can cook dessert in that but if you can get 3 racks...GET THEM Re: my new kitchen 3Apr 19, 2011 7:11 am oh, I see yours is pyroltic or summin, mine is not. so mine would be the cheaper model (it was about $1300 nzd) Re: my new kitchen 4Apr 19, 2011 10:40 am Hi Michelle, We have that exact same cooktop. We've had it for about five years with no problems at all. It is a little hard to get some marks off. There is a product you can get from bunnings thats ment to be good. But apart from that it has been great. We have a Westinghouse oven but not the same as your picture. It's very manual (and white!) No problems with that either. My SIL has a Westinghouse 900mm freestanding oven and gas cooktop and hasn't had any problems in the last three years either. Hope this helps! Re: my new kitchen 6Apr 19, 2011 7:12 pm Thanks for the info girls; I like the look of the 2 together. Although I’d rather a white oven but there doesn’t seem to be any in my price range. Found it fairly basic- but that's what i wanted! No fuss! Love the ability to program time to start/end..etc. Reliable as well. I do quite abit of baking, and find that the temp is quite even. Assuming the structure of your cabinetry is good then I would DIY everything as follows: - replace your counter tops entirely, - replace all drawer runners with soft close… 1 4782 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6632 2 4680 |
