Many options, i would access how much rubbish you use now and what space is available and decide on the easiest option for yourself Kitchen Sales & Design Consultant Re: Does anyone have a pull out bin UNDER the sink? 22Apr 27, 2011 6:28 am CA3105 Just another suggestion for pull-out bins (although it won't work for under sink) is instead of having a cupboard door that you have to open and then pull out a bin, put in an upside down drawer that is the same size as the cupboard door instead. Basically that means that the panel that would normally be the bottom of the drawer will now be at the top, and just the bottom of the "drawer" will be open. Then either you or your builder can cut a hole into the top piece of laminate to fit your bin in. The bonus of this is that rubbish won't slip down the sides because your bin fits perfectly in the space, and the rest of the top is a panel of laminate (or whatever you choose) so the rubbish doesn't slip down. I know someone who did this recently in her home and she LOVES it i tend to agree, this has been done in a few Mothers Rooms in a shopping center i was at and i thought it was a pretty clever and cheap way of doing it. Pullout bins systems from Hafele and Hettich and the like are pretty expensive considering what they are. G Re: Does anyone have a pull out bin UNDER the sink? 23Apr 27, 2011 6:29 pm I have pull out bins next to the sink in their own pull out cubboard. There are two and they fit the grocery plastic bags perfectly. I kept under the sink for cleaning products. The waste disposal took a lot of room and all the plumbing. So ther wasnt much room when they were finished Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6349 Have had stone benches with undermount sink (kitchen) and drop-in (laundry) and top-mounted basin (bathrooms) for coming up 13 years and not one chip/scratch of any kind.… 2 9676 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16122 |
