Just a quick Q:
Trying to decide which is best for our (high gloss) kitchen cupboards - 2-pack or Polytec Createc?
Cost difference is negligible so that is not a consideration.
Suggestions please and why.
Cheers.
Browse Forums Kitchen Corner Re: 2-Pack or Polytec Createc????? 2Mar 17, 2011 2:32 pm Is Createc their vinyl wrap? We chose 2 pack after many hours talking it over with our kitchen designer / maker. We have 3 small children and the kitchen is open plan to the dining / living area. I have found it extremely hard wearing - I have only just found one small nick yesterday from a footrest on one of my barstools. I also love that I could have a streamlined look with no handles - having a deep bevel instead. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: 2-Pack or Polytec Createc????? 3Mar 18, 2011 7:25 am I've not seen Createc but I have never seen a vinyl finish that looks as good as 2pac. Like Kyton, we got 2 pac, have 2 young kids and no problems, not a mark or scratch on it after 8 months. And if it ever does get a chip, take the door or drawer back to the cabinet maker to get it resprayed. If the price is the same, I cannot see any downside in 2pac. Cheers. create is finished with 1mm edge banding much like laminated surfaces whilst 2 pack is just painted surfaces Re: 2-Pack or Polytec Createc????? 5Mar 18, 2011 11:28 am Personally, I would chose Createc over paint any day. Booree, also take a look at the Ultraglaze range of acrylic doors. They have a mirror type finish and come with an option of "glass bead edging" which gives the appearance of a sheet of glass over the door. You can google Ultraglaze to find the website. In the end we have decided to go with 2-pack because it allowed us to choose any colour we wished. The Createc had a limited colour range (IMO) and we didn't like the ABS edging however it did seem very durable. Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets. Looking at the Boston Oak ones, it appears that the colour varies significantly… 0 9151 |
