Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Mar 06, 2011 10:10 pm Hi All,
Well we did our kitchen selections last week and since then I have discovered the gorgeous Lustrous Elm and am set on changing our selections - we just obviously need to make up our minds in a hurry as to what to do... The new plan is to use Formica Warm White Gloss on the overheads, front and back of island bench and our wall of linen cupboards. Then to use the Lustrous Elm on the underbench cupboards and drawers and the end panels of our island bench. The question is, would it be better to do the whole pantry wall/walloven tower/appliance tower in Lustrous Elm, or the Warm White??? We are intending on having the Lustrous Elm grain running horizontally. Our floors are 600 x 600 glossy tiles in a eggshell/alabastar colour. Benchtops are a whitish colour - Wilsonart Astral Talc (similar to Ceasarstone Osprey) and our splashback is white glossy 200 x 400 tiles. Our supplier has not been able to give us any pictures or anything to help us see how our kitchen will actually look and we are really having trouble visualising what is best. So, any thoughts would be much appreciated as to whether it would be better to have the pantry in the Warm White or Lustrous Elm??? Or if anyone can suggest anywhere online we can go to try and see what our kitchen might look like in 3D? This is a picture of our kitchen plan and below a pic I used for our original inspiration for the Lustrous Elm - though obviously this kitchen is a different layout, I just LOVE the colour scheme! Now just have to work out how best to make it work in our kitchen and on our budget... G Re: Kitchen Colours - Help Please! 6Mar 07, 2011 9:01 pm Thanks to those who have posted comments. I never understood how everyone raved about Lustrous Elm on this forum when it went into their homes - that was until I went to Laminex on the weekend and feel in love with this door... Just to clarify, those of you that have said yes do the "tower" and/or "base doors" in the Lustrous Elm, your thoughts are to do the entire pantry wall/walloven tower and appliance tower all Lustrous Elm? Also, what is the usual with the back (blank side) of the island bench. Should we get the Warm White Gloss panel to the floor, or should we have a brushed steel kicker along the bottom? We are having an eggshell/alabastar colour floor tile. Thanks! With the amount charged for the upgrade the builder is probably charging closer to 100% margin. There are a few variables as I… 5 14299 You never have a fridge against wall as you’ve drawn. The doors can’t open past 90 degrees and it’s difficult and maybe impossible to remove drawers 2 15583 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7138 |
