We are currently designing our butler's pantry... it's 1.1m deep and about 3.0m wide. There are no windows/natural light in there (unless we open the pantry doors).
We are thinking of adding a second cooktop, rangehood and a deep sink for pots in the pantry. What are your opinions on this? Does anyone currently have a cooktop in their pantry? Does it get used?
The idea was that because we cook a lot of stir-fry, asian food, we would contain the smell to just that area of the kitchen. Then we have the deep sink to wash the wok and bigger pots that we use. Good idea? or Bad idea?
