Browse Forums Kitchen Corner  22 May 2006 2 New Poster 1 May 22, 2006 5:09 pm Has anyone seen the new joinery connectors from Rapidjoint thay can be used in staircases, kitchens etc, you dont need a special tool and there is a pre install connector for benchtops which looks great! I saw them at www.rapidjoint.com.au - I'd like some feedback from anyone who has used this product? Re: Rapidjoint connectors?? 2May 23, 2006 8:31 pm Yep, I have tried them and then sent them back. The problem was the special driver didn't seat itself deep enough and provide a proper mate. This caused problems when tightening the benchtop connectors. The driver would just end up spinning and wearing down the 'gear'. I have talked to other people since and they have told me that they have suffered the same problem.
The product looked promising but was let down by small engineering oversight. Once that has been ironed out it will be a great product. 22 May 2006 2 New Poster Re: Rapidjoint connectors?? 3May 24, 2006 11:05 am Thanks Reno this is a Different connector, this one doesnt need a tool you can use a no 2 ,no3 phillips head flat head or 4mm allan key. It also has a specialized bench connector called the RJ2 that is pre installed into the bench before it goes on site. if you dont know what I mean you can take a look at the website www.rapidjoint.com.au OK thanks, can you please show me how if possible.
