Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 17, 2011 7:16 am Hi New kitchen going in today and templates for ceaserstone being picked up tomorrow. We are going with Ice Snow 40mm and a pencil edge. I am now starting to wonder whether this would be the best way to go? Have many people used this edging style? I have seen an edge called mitre which is a squarer finish and wondered if that would be better although with two little children someone said easier to hurt themselves on the corners. Any pictures/advise would be great. Thanks Ceaserstone benchtops -not sure to have penciled edge? 2Feb 17, 2011 7:30 am So are your edges curved? Mine are 80mm so double the thickness however are dead flat. No problems with our three small kids but that is because we have waterfall edges so no protusions at all. Re: Ceaserstone benchtops -not sure to have penciled edge? 3Feb 17, 2011 9:29 am Hi Beckles, pencil edge is by far the most popular edge profile for Caesarstone tops. I would say at least 90 percent of tops we do are done with a pencil edge. Pencil edge profile means that there is just a very small champher to take the sharp edge off the stone.
