The dimensions sound the same. I can see that it may have appeared to be a good solution for a very tight corner in our kitchen but it was horrible to use. In order to get to anything which was 'around the corner' you basically had to take out all the stuff in front. Also, because of the right angle, the shelves had to be quite narrow meaning you couldn't fit much on. I don't know if the sliding door would make much difference. Ours had a standard door like a walk in pantry (but you couldn't walk in). I certainly wouldn't recommend one, especially not without seeing one in the flesh (so-to-speak) Basically.
