Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Feb 02, 2011 8:23 pm Is your rangehood in line with the overhear cupboards or is it slightly higher? I am 170cm and couldn't reach the contents of the overhead cupboards in the home I visited recently. They were in line with the rangehood. Do you have this problem? How tall are you? Re: Is your rangehood in line with the overhead cupboards? 2Feb 03, 2011 11:39 am I'm 6'2" and GLW is 5'6". Our rangehood was lower than the cupboards in the last place. Range was 720mm off the top of the hob and cupboard were 30-40mm lower. Could have been lower to help Wifey, but when measuring she said it should be fine there, so there they went. It really depends on where you put the range, as most of the time they only specify a minimum distance. 720mm was more than the minimum for gas cooking but I would have hit my head a lot if it was lower as it also stuck out nearly the full depth of the bench. Won't be an issue in the new place as we deleted all over heads. Re: Is your rangehood in line with the overhead cupboards? 5Feb 08, 2011 2:56 pm Thank you all. Have checked the manufacturers recommendation and it's all good now Hi, Can anyone give me approx. price for overhead cupboards. TIA 0 16616 Bigger the better for storage for me IMO. But I guess it's harder to tell the cost/benefit in your example - mainly the 'cost'? If you go 700mm, what are you doing extra… 2 1441 4 10824 |
