Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 20, 2011 9:57 am I have done a search on H1 to see if anyone has used "Dulux Linseed" for their splashback. The search pulled up a few topics but it was mainly people who has considered using "linseed" but then used something else and I couldn't find an actual picture. Does anyone have a photo of their kitchen with a dulux linseed splashback? Here is my kitchen. I was originally going to have a Laminex METALINE splashback in the sophisticat colour (a chocolate colour) I've had some quotes done it turns out the metaline isn't as affordable as I thought it would be and based on what I've been quoted- having a GLASS splashback would be better and I'm not limited by the choice of colours. I am considering having a linseed wall in the living area so thought having a linseed splashback might tie it all together. I'm open to suggestions Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 2Jan 20, 2011 10:37 am Hi Miss You'll find it here http://www.google.com.au/images?q=dulux%20linseed&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1680&bih=820 scroll down and you'll see it on your left side Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 3Jan 20, 2011 10:49 am When I click on the link you supplied- it goes to the same google search I have done several times already. Without clicking on the link the the only image I see of a kitchen has Linseed cupboards not a linseed splashback. Am I looking at the wrong one? Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 4Jan 20, 2011 11:37 am Hi Miss, I searched through the images, and there was one which referred back to a post here. It's in Upsydaisy's kitchen: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=42291&view=previous EDIT: I didn't read through the whole post, and unsure if Upsydaisy's splashback is with starfire or clear glass, as that will change the colour. Terrence Malick Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" or simi 6Jan 20, 2011 4:11 pm Thanks for the help Stormy and Joles. I was just finding myself going around and around in circles. I 'd click on a link- read through several pages and then find that someone had considered linseed and then changed their minds or it would be mentioned but there was no pictures. Thanks for helping me track down a couple of examples. It is amazing how different both examples look. They both look nice of course- but one looks really grey and the other really seems to have more of a green tinge to it (I wonder it is because one is starfire and the other is possibly 'clear' glass- I have sent a PM) I guess it could also change depending on surrounding colours or the amount of light in the room. I'm not sure the colour is quite what I'm after. Does anyone have some alternatives they could suggest? I might have a bit more of browse of the kitchen threads and see what I can find Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 7Jan 31, 2011 12:39 pm Hi Miss, I have a splashback in Dulux Linseed with starfire glass. My cabinets are Laminex antique white in 2pac. Walls are Taubmans Moon River and benchtop is Quantum Quartz Catalina. My splashback definitely throws off a green/grey tinge - I love it! I haven't really posted any pics because the kitchen isn't finished (still needs downlights so the bayonet fittings look silly) but I'll go and take some photos and put them up for you Be back soon! Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 9Jan 31, 2011 1:15 pm Hi Miss, There are photos in my photobucket album - sorry ran out of time to link them directly http://s577.photobucket.com/albums/ss214/MrsRose_photos/ I also included some photos with the canvas from Bunnings that I painted in Linseed so you can compare what it looks like against the glass. Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 11Feb 01, 2011 8:53 am Mrs Rose- Your kitchen is gorgeous. The colours work so beautifully together! Thanks so much for the pictures of the splashback at the different angles! It was incredibly helpful to see a variety of images and I think it has given me a very accurate idea of what it will look like! Thank you so much Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 12Feb 01, 2011 8:58 am Oh and I just wanted to say I think I need a new computer. I browsed this thread on my husband's computer (wanting to show him the examples) and when I clicked on grinder's link it showed totally different images to what I see when I click on the same link on my computer. I just see a page filled with square of linseed and my husband shows images of linseed used in kitchens etc. Just thought I would mention it for anyone who clicked on the same link and thought I must be as blind as a bat LOL! Re: Does anyone have a splashback in "Dulux Linseed" 13Feb 01, 2011 9:41 am No problem! Thanks for the compliments Pattycake and Miss! I can't wait until its finally finished with downlights!
