Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Jan 20, 2011 8:13 am We were on site this morning and see that our tiles have been delivered. on our kitchen splashback we are going to be having white tiles, layed vertically with a strip of grey tiles (25mm x 25mm) between each white tile. The effect being that we have a single white tile running from the benchtop to the overhead cupbpards We look at our white tiles (600mm x 300mm) and realised that they are not going to be big enough as the gap between our bench and overhead cupboards is 750mm. We are meeting the tiler on site in the coming days to confirm the layout for all our wall tiles and I have no idea what we are going to be about the 150mm difference. Obviously we are going to have to put extra tiles in, but I am unsure what to do.... Do we see if we can get bigger tiles (750mm x 300mm), does such a size exist? Or do we fill it with other tiles and if so how do we make it look good? There is only one spashback which runs the whole length of the kitchen (about 3m) so it is a feature point in the kitchen so I want it to look nice. I need advice, inspiration, pictures, anthing...please help! Painting finished, time to tile! HANDOVER - THURSDAY 3RD MARCH 2011 Re: HELP! Extra tiles were ordered today so it is all sorted and I think it is going to look much better than our original idea. Thanks for the suggestions, they were really helpful Painting finished, time to tile!
