Hi all,
I have a second question.
Has anyone ever seen or had a wine rack or shelving for cook books put into the side of the waterfall floating bench. I'm not even sure if it is possible.
Cheers
Annie

I have seen a wine fridge built into the side of a waterfall bench but it took up the entire side, so no cutouts, actually no CS on that side, so not really waterfall Re: Waterfall bench 3Jan 07, 2011 10:13 am Hi AnnieA, welcome to the forum do you mean like this? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ looks completely do-able to me, just put some shelves in where some cupboards or pot drawers would normally be, and have the waterfall edge "end" the shelves nicely. Or you could do something like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ and just not have a waterfall on that end of the bench. save a few $ that way too I would image PS - I just saw the word "floating" in your post, these pics aren;t floating benches but not sure how that would make it any different? maybe someone with more kitchen experience will come along and advise! Re: Waterfall bench 4Jan 07, 2011 10:23 am The floating bench can accommodate pot draws with enough space at the back to allow a slim line wine rack on one side and a slim line book shelf on the other. Like the above picture but would only take up a quarter of the side of the floating bench. If we went the waterfall sides then the stone would need to be cut to allow for the wine rake and a book shelf. Can not find any pictures where this has been done so not sure if it would even look any good. We are just keen to use this space as the kitchen is not large and as much storage is important.
