Will be going ahead. The $500 is definately worth the extra I think. The other thing I'm doing is going with my sinks that are cut into the bench - not undermounted and not above mount. It is smooth finish - cant remember what its called. Thanks again. Re: Drainage grooved into Cessarstone 24Feb 04, 2011 1:22 pm Sorry dont have a pic or link. It is on display at my cabinet makers. The first time and only time I've seen it. Go into a cabinet makers and they might be able to show you one. The sink is cut into the bench, making it flush with the counter. The only downside I can see is there is a very small line between the two that grim would build up on. No different though to under mounts or above mounted. There is always a "grime line". Re: Drainage grooved into Cessarstone 26Nov 22, 2011 2:16 am We just had these grooves put in..Look nice but are they actually supposed to drain water back into the sink? Mine are the same depth all along, water just sit's there and they are saying that's the best they can do not sure if I should be paying for something that's not doing the job I got it for????? ***Building coral HERON (modified) in the beautiful NSW far north coast*** H1 Thread - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=48902 Re: Drainage grooved into Cessarstone 27Nov 22, 2011 5:04 pm Some stonemasons will advise against this as it's a lot of work manually.. If the stonemason has the machinery required they'll not mind doing it. I think though, stonemasons should let you know it may void your warranty for all reconstituted stones. Doesn't sound right to me. Ours are deeper and wider towards the sink. They don't drain as well as a sink with a drainer angled slightly does, but the water certainly doesn't hang around for long on mine. Drainage grooved into Cessarstone 29Jun 30, 2012 8:23 pm We have been quoted $70 per drainage line and suggested 5 lines ought to do it. We ave chosen an Oliveri undermount sink http://oliverisinks.com/au/diaz.cfm which comes with a platform to place over one sink but we wash using both sinks so we are still need somewhere to put a drainer. The only double undermounts that we could find with drainers were the square types but we don't really like the square look.
