I don't understand why you can't just call the stonemason that installed the bench and politely ask him whether he can look at the bench for you and see if there is something that he can explain or fix. I don't see that shouting at him is going to help any, because if I had an ex-customer like that, I'd hang up on you. But if I had a polite, reasonable ex-customer, I'd try to be helpful and might potentially fix it for free.
