Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Dec 10, 2010 3:10 pm Hi, We are building the Providence with Wisdom homes and are struggling with the colour selection for the kitchen We want to go neutral tones, as in white & beige but worry due to the layout of the kitchen and the large pantry doors we upgraded that its just going to look strange. So far our selections are Bench tops - Ceasarstone - OSPREY Cupboards - Standard Laminex - NATURAL WHITE Splashback - Glass - LATTE Tiles, are in a latte colour. Could anyone who has built this house post some photos of how their kitchens turned out. I cant believe Wisdom, nor Timpelle Kitchens have a portfolio of Kitchens they have put together. Please help, Appt with Kitchen place is next week! Re: Photos Kitchens - Wisdom Homes - Providence 2Jan 12, 2011 12:35 pm You would have had your kitchen appt by now so how did you go? the colours you mentioned seem fine, i dont think it will clash at all. we are building the impressions 38 and we went for neutral tones as well. we chose snow for the the bench tops, latte for the splashbacks and laminex polyurethane white for the cupboards. did you stick to your colour selection? was the latte splashback nice in person? i had a sample of it sent to me from wisdom but its hard to visualize based on tiny sample!! also, if you check out www.studiom.com.au, you can choose images similar to what is in your house and change colours and materials etc, i found that helpful to visualize what my house will lool like!! Re: Photos Kitchens - Wisdom Homes - Providence 3Jan 12, 2011 8:51 pm Yea we had our colour appt awhile ago now. We changed some of the colours after our meeting with Bianca. We went with the Antique white splashback instead of the latte. We changed this because after we visited the decoglaze showroom and seeing a bigger sample it looked alot darker. More brownish than tan, so we went for the white. Safer i think, but who knows how it will turn out. I wished I could have had the poly doors but were just way out of the budget. Great website you mentioned. Thanks! Re: Photos Kitchens - Wisdom Homes - Providence 4Jan 12, 2011 8:55 pm Welcome to Homeone ugly ugly. Thanks for the reply we have our colour appointment tomorrow , not really looking forward to it, what actually happens at the kitchen appointment, we were under the understanding that it would all be taken care of at the colour appointment???? We will be following your blog with interest Re: Photos Kitchens - Wisdom Homes - Providence 8Apr 23, 2011 12:26 pm kballa7983 Thanks for the reply we have our colour appointment tomorrow , not really looking forward to it, what actually happens at the kitchen appointment, No worries. How did your colour appt go? You will sit down with a rep from Timpelle Kitchens and go through your kitchen colours, splashback, handles, benchtops, stove/oven and rangehood. That is the time you want to tell them and changes as to the location of the dishwasher or sink or anything else you would like to make. They looked after us really well. We moved the dishwasher out of the corner near the stove to the other side of the sink. This was to stop the dishwasher hitting the oven door if they both happen to be open at the same time. The kitchen drawings on our blog explain it a little better.
