They were brilliant but they are booked solid months and months ahead so not sure of their availability. Re: cabinet maker - melbourne 4Dec 03, 2010 9:22 am We did full kitchen and two bathrooms. Kitchen cabinetry included 22 drawers, all softclose, overheads, an island bench and pantry. Bathrooms were just the vanities. All the work was finished in 2pac (through these guys not much more than vinyl wrap but much better result and look), and most of the cabinetry was handleless. Cost was around $22,000 plus GST(that included the stone benchtops). I could not fault their work. It is a reasonably small operation and all the workers there take a real pride in what they deliver. If they have the time to do your job I would definately recommend you get a quote from them (it won't be the chaepest and it won't be the most expensive.) You can see some of the work here, http://s946.photobucket.com/albums/ad30 ... newest%3D1 Re: cabinet maker - melbourne 5Dec 05, 2010 9:56 pm Many cabinet makers are excellent but that does not mean most know how to design a kitchen so beware you must know exactly what you want to have in your design. It may be wise visiting few showrooms and Ikea to get inspirations from http://www.desirekitchens.com.au/ Re: cabinet maker - melbourne 8Oct 15, 2014 8:52 pm Hi all, resurrecting this post as I didn't want to start a new but redundant post. I am after the most affordable, decent quality cabinet maker that services western Melbourne suburbs and surrounds. I received a quote of nearly $3,000 for our His/Her WIRs. He took 3 weeks to respond to my request, so I won't be going with him. I'm after simple/basic and functional - MDF drawers & shelving and double hanging rods. Nothing fancy but something really workable. Otherwise, any suggestions on where I can learn to do it myself.. Because I'm getting the feeling that for such a project I'm after.. It shouldn't cost thousands of dollars.. Thanks in advance!
