Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 19, 2010 8:18 pm Hi, My search for a lower priced kitchen has led me to Ikea, who have surprising quality hardware and some are quite nice looking too! My weird question is about the vertical series of holes running down the inside of each cabinet for the adjustable shelving. I worry about the aesthetics of this. I dont want to see it and it seems to show that it's a lower quality product (if you know what I mean). And I worry about the resale implications. Does anyone have a comment or suggestion about this. Is there any way to camouflage them?. Do you think it makes the whole kitchen look cheap? And should I rather just bite the bullet and pay more with a kitchen supplier. Thanks for any feedback. Its possible to have cupboards made without all the adjustable shelf holes you mention. But then the shelves are no longer adjustable. All this does is increase the amount of wasted space in your cupboards. As a result you will reduce the value of your kitchen.
