Browse Forums Kitchen Corner 1 Nov 07, 2010 8:43 pm Hi all, The builder has made an error and fixed short horizontal handles in place of the long one we had requested. What do you think of the one fixed on pantry door? http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/3510/014na.jpg Thanx Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 2Nov 07, 2010 8:54 pm That looks a bit strange, maybe just not what i'm used to seeing. But if *you* do like it (or don't) thats what matters. I don't think it looks bad, it wouldn't have stood out to me looking at the pic my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 11Nov 08, 2010 8:02 pm All doors look awesome, but I'd also make the pantry door vertical! At the end of the day it's what u like, it's your house Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 12Nov 08, 2010 8:23 pm sleven barbw61 Looks fine to me. It blends in with all the other handles. Barb +1 and again here. personally I prefer vertical handles all round, but if you have the horizontal on the other cupboards it makes sense to have them horizontal on the pantry too. Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 13Nov 09, 2010 12:14 am thanx guys...my confusion was the same..what if just the pantry door had vertical handle..since majority of the you said it looks fine, i am just going to leave it that way. Even if i wanted to reorient it to vertical, would that leave a hole on the door? I am quite worried about this as they are gloss finish. thanx Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 14Nov 09, 2010 12:22 am If its the builders mistake, and was specified vertical then they should replace the door But, as others said, if it doesn't bother don't stress it my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 15Nov 13, 2010 3:31 pm I would just like to say how much I love your splashback!! I am having a red splashback too, can I ask what colour it is? Re: What do you think of this handle on the pantry door? 18Nov 14, 2010 3:38 pm sveta thanx guys for your responses and compliments. Hi Victoria my splashback is called claret. Thanks for that Black on light wood does look good. Not sure if it will be as long lasting as a steel finish? 6 6330 Get some long brass machine screws and bolt right through the gate and put brass acorn nuts and washers on the other side. It will never come off 1 9070 No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6623 |
